In this modality we focus on how does the way we think, impact the way we react and subsequently how to change the way we think to impact our behaviors and our relationship patterns.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy is a specific CBT based psychotherapy effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that individuals may have developed from traumatic events such as childhood abuse, combat or Military Sexual Trauma(MST), rape, and/or natural disasters.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an enhanced version of CBT focusing on the dialectics of combining opposite ideas and focuses on supporting individuals accept the reality of their lives and behaviors while providing validation and techniques to manage intense emotions, and change behaviors and their lives.

Imago Therapy
Imago therapy is a form of couples counseling designed to coach couples in conflict resolution, increase bonding, enhance communication and ultimately stop blaming, criticizing, and negatively reacting to one another. In this treatment, the term “Imago” is from the Latin word for “image” and refers to what founder, Dr. Harville Hendrix describes as an “unconscious image of familiar love,” developed during childhood as impacted by our caregivers and subsequently remains unchanged in adulthood.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
Moral Reconation Therapy is a cognitive behavioral based treatment with the term “moral” referring to our moral processing. This modality is based on Kohlberg’s levels of cognitive reasoning and utilizes CBT elements to examine our motivations for how and why we make the decisions we we do and how to achieve better decision making and healthier behaviors.

Motivational Enhancement (ME)
Motivational Enhancement Therapies are a collaborative approach between the therapist and individual using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to focus care on resolving mixed feelings about making changes around substance abuse and/or dependence.

Narrative Therapy
In Narrative Therapy, we separate the individual from the problem, and allow the individual to externalize their issues via writing assignments and analysis as opposed to internalizing them to one’s own detriment. Together, we explore the individual’s values and skills associated with them and develop skills to enhance values cohesive to the lives they want to live.

Prolonged Exposure (PE)
Prolonged Exposure (PE) is another treatment modality based upon CBT principles gradually teaching an individual how to approach trauma-based memories, feelings, and situations that an individual has been avoiding. As we emotionally process these experiences together and promote the ability to feel more in control of one’s life as opposed to being held hostage to our emotions such as guilt, shame, anxiety, anger.

Rational Emotive Therapy (RET)
Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) is structured to assist the individual in identifying self-defeating thoughts and feelings by challenging the nature of irrational and unproductive feelings. We then replace them with healthier, productive beliefs and develop a plan for continued growth moving forward.

Seeking Safety (Trauma, PTSD & Addiction)
Seeking Safety is a skills based treatment modality focusing on staying present, mindful and in control of their emotions by developing a baseline of safety from trauma and addiction. In this work we review setting boundaries, creating healthy relationships, exploring community resources, creating empathy and compassion within our daily lives while identifying triggers and increasing coping mechanisms.

Strength-Based Perspectives
Strength-based perspectives are utilized by interweaving a person’s self-determination and strengths in order for increasing self-esteem, self-worth and developing a plan to move an individual’s life forward as opposed to focusing on the deficits impacting the quality of life.
